Five new programmes

At GKA, innovation drives our approach to performance coaching. We've introduced five new coaching programs in response to specific client needs, and their success has led us to include them in our standard offerings. These new programs complement our well-established and highly effective coaching solutions, which continue to be in demand.
Below, you'll find a quick overview of our latest programs and how they can enhance your company’s performance
Past Programs We Have Developed

Who should participate? Members of all the significant lead groups in your company – group and divisional boards and executives; committees and long-term task forces; IT forums. Each group would have its own coaching programme.
Programme objectives:
-
To agree on, and secure buy-in to, the lead group’s key short-term and long-term objectives.
-
To agree on performance criteria.
-
To bring about significant improvements in group performance and in the contributions to group performance made by individual members.
-
To agree on and provide means of measuring the outcome of the lead group’s activities.
Programme duration and format:
-
Four months.
-
One group coaching session per month, i.e. four sessions.
-
One individual session for each group member every two weeks, i.e. eight sessions per member (alternatively, a face-to-face session and a telephone session).
GKA GROUP PERFORMANCE COACHING PROGRAMME ('GPCP')
Who should participate? Any senior company employee working on long-term expatriate terms (contracts of six months and longer) outside South Africa.
Programme objectives:
-
To help the expatriate executive clarify the job performance results expected of him/her.
-
To identify and implement strategies and action plans to achieve expected job performance results.
-
To address the special and local problems faced by the expatriate executive, including life balance and coping with unfamiliar values and cultural aspects of work and life in the overseas country.
-
(Our chairman, managing partner and master coach, Gert Kruger, is currently coaching lead teams in Ghana and Namibia, for Gold Fields and Old Mutual, respectively; other GKA coaches have had extensive experience as expatriate executives in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.)
Programme duration and format:
-
Minimum four months overall.
-
Frequency of sessions to be determined in light of factors such as logistics, availability of executives for participation in sessions and other work circumstances.
GKA EXPATRIATE EXECUTIVE COACHING PROGRAMME ('EECP')
Who should participate? Managers and specialists at any level in the organisation whose personal effectiveness may currently be impaired by difficulties in presenting themselves and their viewpoints.
Programme objectives:
-
To improve the participant’s oral and written communications skills.
-
To implant attitudes towards everyday life that makes the participant well motivated to be successful (the 'glass half full', not the '…half empty' approach to personal and working life).
-
To build self-confidence.
-
To make participants aware of the importance of 'look good, feel good' personal habits that, once acquired, can make working and personal life much easier and more successful.
Programme duration and format:
-
Five months.
-
10 sessions at the rate of two per month (these will normally and mainly be one-on-one, but group sessions involving a number of participants may be organised from time to time in order to gain the benefits of group interaction on sensitive matters; this would only be with the consent of all involved).
